The Foundation «Gravissimum Educationis – Culture for Education» was created by Pope Francis in 2015.
We are engaged in the areas of education and culture, supporting the integral formation of the human person and fraternal coexistence.
We carry out and support significant projects, training and research activities, in the world and in dialogue with all, including through the Catholic educational network, composed of 216,000 schools and 1,700 universities, attended by young people of all cultures and faiths.
The Foundation is an instrumental entity and participates in the mission of the Dicastery for Culture and Education, a ministry of the Holy See that preserves and promotes the cultural and educational heritage of the Catholic Church.
Through significant projects, we are committed to expanding the educational and cultural offerings.
We are committed to fostering dialogue between the fields of education and culture, including through the implementation of emblematic initiatives.
We promote studies and scientific research, fostering networking among educational institutions, knowledge transfer and mutual support.
